HT/FT

Half Time / Full Time Predictions

Nine possibilities. Two possibilities. One prediction. While making a half time / full time prediction, you predict the half-time leader as well as the winner at the end of the game. This article features everything about HT/FT including its significance and how Pikibet provides daily tips for HT/FT predictions.

What is Half Time / Full Time in Gambling?

In half time / full time betting, you predict who will be leading the match at half time and who the match winner will be at full time after 90 minutes. All must be correct.

The HT/FT prediction market requires three letters (1 – home winner, X – draw, 2 – away winner).

Out of nine possibilities of HT/FT outcomes, 1/1, 2/2 and X/1 account for roughly 70%. All others are high probability bets.

How to Predict Half Time / Full Time

First of all, split the game into two halves and analyze them separately.

• For the first half: look at the teams' goal scoring and conceding records in the first half of their last 10 matches.
• For the second half: comeback ability and points accumulated from loser's position.
• Classify the game according to the HT/FT statistics of teams: some teams play the same code against each other.

Good fast starters and finishers will give consistent 1/1 and 2/2 outcome. Slow starters, but strong in comeback, create value in X/1 and X/2 code.

Half Time Full Time Betting Tips

Some common rules applicable to all nine HT/FT codes.

• Select only those codes which probability is higher than 10%, otherwise you are simply guessing numbers.
• Favourites may be selected with X in first half (X/1 and X/2) as it improves the odds from 1.40 to 3.50 and more.
• Do not select 1/X and 2/X until you have solid reason that the teams will neutralize each other after scoring in first half.

The above mentioned table of Combinations shows which codes overcome 10% threshold.

Half Time Full Time Prediction for Tomorrow

The predictions for HT/FT for tomorrow are published prior to 20:00 on the previous day.

• Decreased confidence due to the uncertainty in team lineups and injury conditions
• The odds of tomorrow's matches are about 5-10% greater than today's odds
• Most appropriate for making the acca bets – grab the odds before the market reacts to the team news

Half Time Full Time Correct Score

The HT/FT betting market forecasts the result condition (win, draw, lose) at both time intervals but doesn't predict the scoreline. However, those two markets are highly correlated.

• The 1/1 code refers to correct scores like 2-0, 2-1, 3-1
• X/1 code works well for the scorelines like 1-0 or 2-1 when HT is 0-0
• 2/1 code is used in case of comebacks – away team loses 0-1 at HT but wins 2-1 at FT

If you consider using HT/FT as the correct score screener, your range of bets gets limited. If you are sure in the X/1 scoreline, then you would have to guess the scoreline out of all other options when the home team wins after a draw HT.

HT/FT 1/2 Prediction

The 1/2 code stands for a situation where the home team wins at HT but the away team wins at FT – comebacks by the away team.

One of the rarest events in football – happens in 1-3% of the matches with odds between 25.00 and 40.00.

• Bet on teams with a high comeback performance away from home
• Choose home teams which score early but fail to do so after 60 minutes of the match
• The cup matches where there are motivation differences are the best bets

Have a look at the Combinations table – 1/2 is at the bottom of the probability list.

HT/FT 2/1 Prediction

Code 2/1 means an away team lead at half-time and home win at full-time (second-half turnaround).

As rare as 1/2. Probabilities are 1-3%. The odds are 25.00-40.00.

Search for strong home sides that concede early goals but have experience in turnarounds.

• Second-half turnarounds are possible due to the atmosphere in the stadium and tactic changes during half-time break.
• There are more 2/1 in the Premier League and Bundesliga compared to defensive leagues.
• Both 1/2 and 2/1 are risky bets and should not make up your whole stake.

Half Time Full Time Draw Prediction

Two HT/FT outcomes will result in a draw at full-time: X/X and 1/X or 2/X.

X/X is suitable for games in which none of the teams can score a goal.

• X/X occurs more often in low scoring leagues (Ligue 1, Serie A, La Liga draws).
• Base probability is approximately 8-14%. The odds are 4.50-7.00
• 1/X and 2/X combinations are extremely rare — the leading team concedes an equalizing goal at the last moment — occur in 3-5% of all games

Half Time Full Time Home Home Prediction

1/1 – a home team lead at half-time and home win at full-time – is one of the most common HT/FT outcomes.

Around 25-35% of all matches end in 1/1, thus, it is the most probable combination. Odds of 1/1 range between 2.20 (heavy favourite) and 3.50 (competitive home team).

• Choose dominant home teams in the leagues with a strong home advantage (Premier League, Turkish Süper Lig).
• Remember that your home team had to be winning at half-time in at least 50% of their recent home games.
• Avoid derbies and cup finals since there form does not matter and 1/1 chances are reduced.

Half Time – Full Time – Double Result

"Double result" is simply an alternative term to refer to HT/FT. It is the same 9 possible outcomes shown in the master table above.

• Both double result and HT/FT are identical. Some bookies give them different names.
• There are platforms where it will be referred to as "result/result" or "HT/FT result". Again, it is the same.

In any case, the nine possibilities stay the same.
